Software for conservatory builders: one file per conservatory

A conservatory is bespoke work that starts in the office, is made in the workshop and finishes on site. Lean is software for conservatory builders who want that chain in one file: quote, survey, production, purchasing, installation and job costing.

From first visit to handover

The same way of working as in our demo company for windows and doors, applied to your conservatories.

  1. 1
QuoteYour quote with the components, options and extras, and the cost price on every line. You know the margin before the client signs.
  2. 2
SurveyThe survey sits on the file, not on a scrap of paper. The form holds the questions you need for a conservatory, and site conditions are entered once, with the address.
  3. 3
Production and purchasingThe order becomes production orders with their bill of materials. Profiles, glazing and parts are ordered from your suppliers, reserved for that order.
  4. 4
InstallationThe installation crew gets its assignment in the schedule and on the phone, with address, time and job.
  5. 5
Handover and invoiceWhat belongs to the handover is set out on the file in advance. The invoice goes out from the same file.

A survey that stays on the file

A survey form in Lean is built from building blocks: width, height, roof pitch, connection to the wall, whatever you need to know. For a conservatory, we put together your own form at the start, alongside the forms we already use for windows and doors.

Site conditions such as access, working height or the number of fitters are recorded with the address. Whoever opens the file knows in advance what is needed. A forgotten field shows up in the office, not on site.

Production and profiles

If you manufacture yourself, the order is turned into production orders with a bill of materials. On the shop floor, the crew records start, stop and finished work on a tablet, and materials are booked out according to the bill.

If you work with software from your profile supplier, Lean can queue quote files from Klaes, Reynaers and Ramasoft for further processing. We look at the integration you need together.

Installation crews without a round of phone calls

The office schedules per fitter and per project. The fitter sees his work on the phone, records hours, materials used and photos, and closes with a note for the client. The steps of the file are linked: first the delivery, then the installation.

What did this conservatory earn?

Because quote, purchases, hours and extra work sit on the same file, Lean places what you budgeted next to what it actually became. You see per conservatory whether the difference came from the purchase price, extra materials or extra hours. That is the best basis for your next quote.

Can the installation go ahead?

IRP links each step to the information it needs: the approved drawing, the deposit, the planning permission, the confirmed glazing delivery. For each step, you see what is still missing, before the crew leaves.

Frequently asked questions from conservatory builders

Can I manage both production and installation in Lean?

Yes. Production orders with bills of materials, the shop floor, purchasing of parts and the scheduling of installation crews sit in the same file.

Can I use my own survey form for conservatories?

Yes. Survey forms are built from building blocks. We put your form together at the start.

Does Lean work with my profile software?

For Klaes, Reynaers and Ramasoft there is a queue for quote files. We look at the integration you need in a conversation.
