Manufacturing software Fashion and textile

ERP software for fashion and textile. From fabric purchasing to delivery to the shop.

A collection means many items, many suppliers and a tight season. Lean ERP brings sales orders, fabric requirements, purchasing and production together, so you see what needs to be ordered for what has been sold.

Does this sound familiar?

The sales orders from the shops come in, but how many metres of fabric you need to order now is worked out by someone in a spreadsheet. The weaver's price list arrives as a file and is retyped by hand. And when a shop asks whether its order will arrive on time, the salesperson goes to check with purchasing and production.

Items, colours and sizes

Every item in Lean can carry a colour and a size, and belongs to an item group (trousers, shirts, jackets …) with its own default values for unit, VAT and margin. A style in four colours is four items in the same group, each with its own stock and price.

Behind each garment there can be a bill of materials: the fabric, the lining, the buttons, the label and the hours per workstation. So Lean knows how much material a sold piece requires.

Fabric requirements from the sales orders

Material requirements planning works back from the sales orders to what is needed: via the bills of materials to the fabric and trims. It sets that demand against stock and what has already been ordered, and shows where a shortage arises.

From the purchasing assistant, you create the purchase orders per supplier. On every sales order, you then see which purchase and production orders are planned for it.

Importing price lists and items

Suppliers send their prices and items as spreadsheets. With the Lean import, you read in an Excel file: items with their supplier prices, partners or stock. Lean first checks the file and shows what it will create or change, before you confirm.

In-house production or making-up at a partner

Do you make the garments yourself? Then production orders, planning per line and the shop floor screen for the operator follow. If making-up is done at a partner, you follow up the orders at that partner as purchases linked to the sales order. A separate flow for subcontracted making-up (send fabric, garment back) is not available today. How you follow that up, we look at together at the start.

What information does the collection need?

A sample that has to be approved, a size chart that has not come in yet, label text from the customer: with IRP, you link that information to the step that needs it, and see what is still missing.

Frequently asked questions about ERP for fashion and textile

Does Lean work with colours and sizes?

Every item can carry a colour and a size. A style in several colours or sizes consists of separate items in the same item group, each with its own stock and price.

Does Lean calculate how much fabric I need to order?

Material requirements planning works out, from the sales orders and via the bills of materials, the need for fabric and trims, and sets it against stock and open orders.

Can I import my supplier's price list?

Yes, as an Excel file. Lean checks the file and shows what it will change, before you confirm.
