ERP implementation: how we get started together

Choosing an ERP also means choosing a partner. Here you can read step by step how the implementation of Lean ERP works, who does what, and what determines how long it takes.

Our approach

Lean-Interactions guides the start-up with its own people: project managers, trainers and the developers who build the software. There is no reseller between you and the people working on your solution.

We work step by step. You follow progress online from the start, so you quickly see what is ready and we can adjust together. That leads to fewer misunderstandings than a big project that only becomes visible at the end.

The step-by-step plan

  1. 1
    1. Process reviewTogether we look at how your files run: from quote to invoice, who does what, which documents you use and which packages you work with. You: your key users explain how the work really goes. Lean: the project manager records the agreements and the phasing.
  2. 2
    2. Set-upWe set up your processes, documents, roles and settings in your own environment. You: supply templates, logo and the choices only you can make. Lean: sets things up and shows the result online.
  3. 3
    3. Data transferItems, contacts, supplier prices and stock are brought over through import configurations. You: supply the data and check it. Lean: prepares and runs the import.
  4. 4
    4. IntegrationsWe connect Lean with the packages you keep, such as your accounting. You: put us in touch with the supplier or your accountant if needed. Lean: builds or sets up the integration and tests it.
  5. 5
    5. Custom development, if neededWhat set-up cannot solve, we build, estimated in advance. You: follow progress online and give feedback. Lean: develops and adjusts.
  6. 6
    6. TestingYour key users work through a number of real files from start to finish. You: test with your own files and report what isn't right. Lean: adjusts until it works as agreed.
  7. 7
    7. TrainingEvery user learns to work with their own files, per role. You: free up time for training. Lean: the trainers train; afterwards you find help next to the screens in the software.
  8. 8
    8. Go-live and supportOn the agreed date you start working in Lean. During the first period we stay close and adjust together. You: work in Lean from then on. Lean: supports you and resolves questions quickly.

Who does what?

On your sideA project lead who is given time to take decisions and drive the start-up. Key users per department, who know their work and help test. A decision maker for choices that affect the whole company.
At Lean-InteractionsA project manager as your fixed point of contact. Analyst-programmers who set up, integrate and build where needed. Trainers for the training. All our own people.

What determines how long it takes?

We can only give an honest timeline after the process review. These factors determine it:

The scope. How many areas go live at once, and how many users and sites are there?

Your availability. The timeline depends not only on our work, but also on the time your project lead and key users can free up.

Your data. Cleanly supplied data goes faster than data that first needs cleaning up.

Custom development and integrations. An existing integration is set up faster than a new one; custom work needs time to build and test.

Starting in phases. You can begin with one chain, for example from quote to invoice, and extend afterwards. That way you are working sooner with a first part.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an ERP implementation take?

It depends on the scope, on your availability, on the state of your data and on custom work and integrations. After the process review you get a timeline based on your situation.

Which data can be transferred?

Among other things items, contacts, supplier prices and stock, through import configurations. Which other data you want to bring along, we look at during the process review.

Who guides the implementation?

Our own project managers, trainers and developers. There is no reseller in between.

What is expected of us?

A project lead with time to decide, key users who help test, and the data you want to bring along.

Can we start step by step?

Yes. You can begin with one chain and extend afterwards.
