Customer portal and partner portal

How many phone calls are about "how far along is it"? With a customer portal or partner portal in Lean, your customer, buyer or subcontractor sees their own part of the file, from the same data you work with at the office.

One file, different windows

A portal in Lean is not a separate website you have to maintain. It is a window on your own file. What your project manager records in the file, the buyer sees in their portal. Nobody retypes anything.

You decide what is visible. Internal notes, cost prices and margins stay internal. Every external user sees only their own file, and the portal carries your logo and colours.

Which portals there are

Buyer portalThe buyer of a home sees their documents and their reports, with the status. They create a report themselves, with photos, and follow the conversation about it.
Event portalThe customer of an event sees a countdown, the steps up to the event, what is already done and the choices from their quote. The portal informs; questions go through your usual contact.
Proposal onlineYour customer views the proposal online, with the sections, the total and the contact persons.
Subcontractors and partnersA subcontractor logs in with their own user. They see their work orders in a list or calendar, the documents that go with them, and can add comments.

A report becomes work at the office

What happens when a buyer reports something?

  1. 1
The buyer reportsIn their portal they create a report, with a description and photos.
  2. 2
The office reviewsThe report reaches your team and becomes a task on the right plot.
  3. 3
The buyer follows upThey see the status: received, in progress, scheduled, resolved. Only the messages meant for them appear in their timeline.
  4. 4
Kept informedWhen an important status changes, they receive a message, without being flooded.

Secure, without passwords to manage

Buyers and customers do not need a password. Access is only sent to an e-mail address you already know, and it is valid for a limited time. If someone is no longer a contact on the file, their access lapses.

Subcontractors and partners who come back often work with their own user. Every list they see is limited to their own jobs, and every action is checked and logged.

Which portal fits the way you work?

Which outside parties need to see something, and exactly what, differs from company to company. A property developer thinks of buyers, a caterer of event customers, a construction company of subcontractors. Together we look at which windows you need, and we set them up at the start.

With IRP it goes one step further: per process step you see which information an outside party still has to deliver. How IRP works.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to maintain the portal information separately?

No. The portal shows data from your own file in Lean. What you change at the office, your customer sees straight away.

Does my customer also see internal notes or margins?

No. Internal notes, cost prices and margins stay internal. You decide which documents are visible.

Does my customer need a password?

No. Buyers and customers get access through an e-mail address you already know. Subcontractors and partners work with their own user.

Can a buyer report a problem themselves?

Yes. In the buyer portal they create a report with photos. At your end it becomes a task on the plot, and they follow its status.

Does the portal work on a phone?

Yes. The portal is web-based and works on phone, tablet and computer.
